Pre-match view

Context last updated 16 Sep 2026, 03:23 · Europe/Bucharest

Mika Brunold's dominant clay form (13-2 last 15) and superior serve/return metrics give him a clear edge over Francesco Forti.

Brunold is a high-confidence pick to win the match, but the odds of 1.30 offer no value. Bettors should consider set betting or total games markets for better opportunities.

Context

Brunold, 20, is ranked 257 and has built his season on clay, with 23 wins on the surface in 2026. Forti, 26, is ranked 373 and has a career clay win percentage of 58.8%.
Brunold's last-15 clay sample shows an 86.7% win rate, 60.4% of games won, and 54.2% of total points won. Forti's same sample is 53.3% wins, 51.3% games, and 50.4% points. Brunold also leads in return points won (43.5% vs 40.5%) and break point conversion (45.8% vs 39.8%). This gap suggests Brunold should control baseline rallies and create more break chances.
- Brunold last 15 on clay: 13-2 record, 60.4% games won, 54.2% total points won.
- Forti last 15 on clay: 8-7 record, 51.3% games won, 50.4% total points won.
- Brunold return points won 43.5% vs Forti 40.5%; break point conversion 45.8% vs 39.8%.
Brunold's recent run includes a title at the Todi Challenger, where he beat three top-200 players in straight sets. Forti's last four matches include a loss to Pedro Martinez Portero and a win over Gianluca Cadenasso.
Brunold's streak shows he is beating players ranked above him with ease, while Forti has been inconsistent against similar opposition. Brunold's last five matches have all been on clay, and he has dropped only one set in that span. This current form makes him the clear favorite to advance.
- Brunold last 5: W vs Giunta (386), W vs Reis Da Silva (220), W vs Sachko (182), W vs Heide (123), W vs Misolic (474).
- Forti last 4: W vs Cadenasso (217), L vs Martinez Portero (132), W vs Iannaccone (584), W vs Ciavarella (unranked).
- Brunold has won 7 straight matches; Forti has lost 2 of his last 4.
Mika Brunold, 22, is the away player and enters Biella after winning his first ATP Challenger title in Tulln on 13 September.
That title run required qualifying and five main-draw wins, leaving only a short transition before this second-round match. The workload could affect freshness, but Brunold's seven-match winning streak suggests he is handling the schedule well.
- The Tulln title was Brunold's first at ATP Challenger level and followed a qualifying run.
- Stored recent sample: 5 wins from 5 tracked matches.
