1. Who We Are

BetBugs (betbugs.ai) is an AI-powered sports betting analysis service. For the purposes of EU data protection law, BetBugs is the data controller responsible for your personal data. You can reach us at contact@betbugs.ai.

2. Data We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide and improve the service.

• Account data — social login (Facebook, Google, Apple): When you sign in with a social provider, that provider shares the following with Clerk (our authentication provider) to create and manage your account:
  • Facebook: name, email address, profile picture, Facebook User ID
  • Google: name, email address, profile picture, Google User ID
  • Apple: email address, Apple User ID (name shared on first sign-in only, per Apple's policy)
• Account data — email sign-up: If you register with an email address and password, we collect your email address and any name you provide. Passwords are hashed and managed by Clerk — we never have access to your raw password.
• Subscription data: If you subscribe, we store your plan type (weekly or yearly) and subscription status. Payment processing is handled by Stripe — we do not store your card details.
• Usage data: We may collect anonymous usage signals (pages visited, features used) to improve the product. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

3. How We Use Your Data

• To authenticate you and manage your account

• To manage your subscription and process payments
• To respond to support requests
• To comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising purposes.

4. Third-Party Processors

We share your data only with processors who help us deliver the service, under appropriate data processing agreements:

• Clerk — authentication and identity management
• Meta (Facebook) — social login provider (data shared only during sign-in flow)
• Google — social login provider (data shared only during sign-in flow)
• Apple — social login provider (data shared only during sign-in flow)
• Stripe — payment processing
• Amazon Web Services (AWS) — cloud hosting (EU region)
• Neon — managed database hosting

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will erase your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or regulatory reasons.

6. Your Rights Under GDPR

As a resident of the European Union, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data
• Erasure — ask us to delete your data ("right to be forgotten")
• Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format

We use session cookies strictly necessary for authentication. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or cross-site trackers.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
