Bellucci is the stronger player but meets Zhou on a fifth consecutive day of tennis, while Zhou has been idle since 28 September yet has lost three straight without a set.

Bellucci should come through; 1.25 is shorter than that case justifies. Two prices hold potential value: Over 23.5 total games at 2.30 and Zhou to win at 4.00, while Bellucci's 1.30 first-set and 1.33 second-set prices ask too much.

Context

The rest gap is the largest asymmetry in this fixture: Bellucci arrives on five straight days of competition while Zhou has been idle since 28 September, so the fresher player is the one ranked 191 places lower. Zhou's only realistic route is to lengthen rallies and force a third set, where accumulated load in Bellucci's legs and concentration would bite hardest. Bellucci's Tuesday win over Muller in 6-4 6-2 was his cleanest of the week, which limits how visible that cost has been so far.
- Bellucci played the Jingshan final on 4 October, then won Shanghai qualifying matches on 5 and
- Wednesday 7 October is his fifth consecutive day on court
- Both his Ymer and Harris matches were long three-setters decided by closing tie-breaks
- Zhou's most recent match was a qualifying loss on 28 September
ConfirmedSources checked 7 Oct 2026, 06:03 · Europe/Bucharest
Qualifying means Bellucci has already banked three completed matches on these courts and knows the pace of the ball before the first round, while Zhou has not played at tour level since 28 September. The trade-off is physical: those matches sit inside a ten-day block with no rest day, and there is no seed's bye to soften it. The qualifier route is also why he enters unseeded, so any dip in level shows immediately against a home wildcard.
- Bellucci beat Elias Ymer 4-6 7-5 7-6(3) in the first round of Shanghai qualifying
- He then beat Alexandre Muller 6-4 6-2 in the final qualifying round
- He had already beaten Muller 6-0 6-3 at the Jingshan Challenger the previous week

Bellucci held two championship points at 5-6 in the deciding set and won more total points than the champion, so the runner-up finish reflects a near-miss during a week he was dominating rather than a collapse. That run is the reason he arrived in Shanghai with form, having lost in the first round in Hangzhou shortly before. The limitation is level: a Challenger final is a tier below a Masters 1000 main draw, and the Jingshan field was nowhere near this one.
- Bellucci reached his second ATP Challenger final of the season at Jingshan
- He lost the final 1-6 6-3 7-6(4) to Lloyd Harris after leading by a set
- Harris saved two championship points at 5-6 in the deciding set
- Bellucci won more total points than the champion in that final
ConfirmedSources checked 7 Oct 2026, 06:03 · Europe/BucharestFlashscorewww.flashscore.co.uk · 6 Oct 2026
Zhou's 2026 results have been built mainly at Challenger level, and the three straight-sets defeats came against opponents all ranked inside the top 70, so the step up to a Masters 1000 first round is the same problem in a harder setting. The nine-day break since 28 September is the one variable that could make him sharper than that form line, but it also means no recent rhythm on these courts. His win-loss record this year sits at .500, so the slump is a short-run pattern rather than a season-long collapse.
- Zhou has lost his last three matches without winning a set
- The defeats came against Ilya Ivashka, Juan Manuel Cerundolo and Pablo Carreno Busta
- He holds a 21-22 win-loss record for 2026
