Quick Take

Pre-match view

Context last updated 6 Sep 2026, 22:14 · Europe/Bucharest

Leong's superior recent form, hard-court record, and return/break efficiency make him a clear favorite, but the match winner odds offer no value.

Better angles include Leong -3.5 games, over 21.5 total games, and under 2.5 sets, all with medium confidence.

Context

Leong, ranked 551, has been playing almost exclusively on hard courts this season and has built a 31-18 record on the surface in 2026.
Leong's recent hard-court sample shows a 71.4% win rate and a 53.1% total points won, while Loof's nine hard-court matches in the same window produced only a 33.3% win rate and 48.1% total points won. The gap is supported by Leong's better return numbers (42.2% vs 36.8%) and break point conversion (49.5% vs 40.4%). However, Loof's first-serve points won on hard courts (63.7%) is not far behind Leong's 71.9%, so the edge is more about consistency than a single dominant weapon.
- Leong's last 15 hard-court matches: 10 wins, 4 losses (71.4% win rate).
- Loof's last 9 hard-court matches: 3 wins, 6 losses (33.3% win rate).
- Leong's return points won on hard: 42.2%; Loof's: 36.8%.
- Leong's break point conversion on hard: 49.5%; Loof's: 40.4%.
The two players met once before, in the qualifying rounds of a Challenger event in 2024.
Loof's straight-set win gives him a psychological edge, but that match is over two years old and both players have changed since. Leong's current hard-court form is much stronger than his 2024 level, so the head-to-head result should not be over-weighted. Still, Loof's ability to win key points in that match, including a tiebreak, suggests he can compete if he finds his best level.
- 2024-01-11: Loof def. Leong 7-6(2), 6-2 on hard court.
- Loof won 70% of first-serve points and converted 30% of break points in that match.
- Leong converted only 8% of break points in that match.
