Quick Take

Pre-match view

Context last updated 15 Sep 2026, 15:30 · Europe/Bucharest

Kotov's hard-court serve dominance and prior H2H win give him a moderate edge over Santillan.

Expect a competitive match with potential for over 21.5 games and a tiebreak. Best value may lie in the total games market rather than the short moneyline.

Context

Kotov, ranked 221, has a 62.5% win rate on hard courts in his last 15 matches, while Santillan, ranked 319, has a 53.8% win rate on hard courts in the same window.
Kotov's recent hard-court results are more consistent, and he has won four of his last five matches on this surface. Santillan has struggled against higher-ranked opponents, losing to Bernard Tomic and Ilya Ivashka in his last two hard-court events. This suggests Kotov may have an edge in baseline rallies and serve consistency.
- Kotov's last 15 hard-court record: 5-3 (62.5% win rate).
- Santillan's last 15 hard-court record: 7-6 (53.8% win rate).
- Kotov won 4 of his last 5 hard-court matches, including a win over Shintaro Mochizuki (ranked 126).
- Santillan lost to Bernard Tomic (ranked 185) and Ilya Ivashka (ranked 230) in his last two hard-court events.
The two players met once before, on hard court in October 2025, and Kotov won in straight sets.
Kotov's victory came despite Santillan serving well, as Santillan's eight double faults and poor second-serve points won (42%) proved costly. This pattern could repeat if Santillan's second serve remains vulnerable.
- H2H: Kotov leads 1-0, winning 6-4 7-6(8) on hard court in October 2025.
- In that match, Santillan had 8 double faults and won only 42% of second-serve points.
- Kotov won 69% of second-serve points in that match.
