Quick Take

Pre-match view

Context last updated 28 Oct 2026, 22:26 · Europe/Bucharest

A 446-place ranking gap points to Royer, but Dominko carries a 12-3 record and a hard-court serve that has won 82.3% of first-serve points, and Royer is only 8-7 on hard courts across 15 matches.

Royer is the likelier winner; the straight-set finish is the firmer read. No price was put forward for review, so there is nothing to back or oppose here.

Context

Dominko is the 556-ranked left-hander whose serve has produced the standout figures in this matchup.
Within this sample the serve is a genuine weapon: 82.3% of first-serve points won over eight hard matches, with 11.4 aces per match and 60.3% of first serves landing. How it holds against a 110-ranked returner is untested, because his three Sioux Falls wins came over opponents ranked 428, 453 and 812, and his last loss was 6-7 1-6 to Daniel Masur (365) on 11 October.
- last15 serve metrics to 27 October 2026, 14 matches tracked: 64.9% first serves in (532/820), 79.9% first-serve points won (425/532), 10.0 aces per match (140/14).
- currentSurface split, eight hard-court matches: 82.3% first-serve points won (233/283), 60.3% first serves in (283/469), 11.4 aces per match (91/8).
Across 14 completed, non-retired best-of-3 hard-court matches between 14 August and 27 October 2026, Royer's results split into six 2-0 wins, four 0-2 losses, two 2-1 wins and two 1-2 losses. Only four of the 14 went to a third set, and six of them contained a tiebreak, so his shorter matches still tend to be close. The sample is modest and drawn from one stretch of the season, but it is the clearest shape in his record.
- Hard-court setEvidence for Royer, 14 completed non-retired best-of-3 matches, 14 August to 27 October 2026: scorelines 2-0 six, 0-2 four, 2-1 two, 1-2 two.
- Same sample: set1 record 8-6 with four tiebreaks, set2 record 8-6 with three tiebreaks; 22.36 games per match on average.
Over 15 matches to 27 October 2026 his average duration is 121.3 minutes, while he has won 51.9% of games and 50.2% of points. That combination of long clock time and narrow margins describes tight sets rather than dominance or fade. Duration on its own says nothing about how fresh he will be for a second-round match, so it reads as a measure of how competitive his matches have been.
- last15 hard-court sample, 15 matches to 27 October 2026: average duration 121.3 minutes (1820.2/15), games won 51.9% (189/364), total points won 50.2% (1153/2296).
