A WTA 125 Lisbon quarterfinal between two clay players who split two meetings in five weeks: Burel, 12-2 on clay and yet to drop a set this week, against fifth seed Zuleta, ranked 66 places higher and winner of their first September meeting.

Burel should reach the semifinal, but Zuleta at 3.2 to win the match, 2.75 to take the second set and 2.6 to take the first set are the quoted prices judged to offer value.

Context

Burel won the WTA 125 title in Valencia, her first at that level since an ACL tear in 2025 and her biggest title since December 2023. She has since added two straight-set wins in Lisbon, conceding seven games across them, so she arrives in this quarterfinal on a six-match clay winning run. The injury history explains why a former No. 42 is competing at 125 level and ranked No. 214, and the title is the clearest sign she has rebuilt her level. It came against a 125-level field, however, so it is not proof she has recovered a top-50 standard.
- Won the WTA 125 Valencia title by beating Alicia Herrero Liñana in three sets
- It was her first WTA 125 title since a 2025 ACL tear and her biggest title since December 2023
- Has since won two straight-set matches in Lisbon, extending a six-match clay winning run since 15 September 2026

The pair split two clay meetings in September 2026, Maristany winning a three-set quarterfinal at Montreux on 11 September and Burel a straight-set quarterfinal at Valencia on 18 September. This makes the Lisbon quarterfinal their third meeting in five weeks and removes any unfamiliarity from either side of the net. The sequence shows neither player has a settled hold over the other on this surface, and both results are recent enough that they remain the most relevant form comparison available for the match.
- Maristany won the Montreux WTA 125 quarterfinal 6-3 1-6 6-1 on 11 September 2026
- Burel won the Valencia WTA 125 quarterfinal 6-2 6-4 on 18 September 2026
- This Lisbon quarterfinal is their third clay meeting in five weeks

Maristany's run to the Tolentino final was her first at WTA 125 level and pushed her to a career-high No. 145, her first week inside the top 150. That ranking is why she is the fifth seed here and starts ahead of Burel at No. 214, even though the two split their last two clay meetings. The run ended in a straight-set loss to Julia Grabher, so it delivered a ranking jump without a title, which is the main limit on how far it can be read as current tournament-winning form.
- Reached her first WTA 125 final at Tolentino, losing to Julia Grabher 7-6(5) 6-2
- The run took her to a career-high No. 145 and a first appearance inside the top 150
- Is the fifth seed at the Lisboa Belém Open, ranked No. 148

Burel has finished 11 of her 14 clay matches at 2-0 and has lost only one clay second set in the window, so straight sets are her normal route. Zuleta is the counterweight: she has gone to a deciding set in three of her 14 clay matches, and Burel's two clay defeats both went the distance. The pattern points to Burel closing quickly if she gets ahead.
- Burel's 14 non-retired clay matches from 2 September to 15 October 2026 produced scorelines of 2-0 in 11 matches, 2-1 once and 1-2 twice
- Burel won 13 of 14 clay second sets and 26 of 31 clay sets overall
- Burel has not dropped a set in Lisbon, winning 6-1 6-3 and 6-0 6-1
