Context last updated 12 Oct 2026, 01:06 · Europe/Bucharest

A WTA 125 main-draw place is on the line in Lisbon's deciding qualifying round, with both seeds arriving off straight-set wins on clay.

Lukas is the marginally stronger clay player over this stretch and the likelier winner, but only just. The 3.00 on Lukas is the one reviewed price that pays for that; 1.38 on Feistel does not.

Context

Feistel has been the sharper starter, winning 8 of 14 opening sets on clay in this sample.
Feistel's clay record splits sharply by set: 8 of 14 first sets won (57.1%) against only 5 of 14 second sets across 14 completed matches from 28 June to 11 October. That gives her a genuine foothold early and a genuine risk if the match runs long or reaches a third set. Lukas has been steadier in second sets in her own sample, so the later this goes, the more the balance tilts.
- Feistel has won 8 of 14 first sets on clay (57.1%), with one first-set tiebreak in the sample.
- Feistel has won 5 of 14 second sets on clay (35.7%).
- Sample covers 14 completed, non-retired clay matches from 2026-06-28 to 2026-10-11.
Lukas's recent clay results arrive in straight sets in 10 of her 13 completed matches.
Ten of Lukas's 13 completed clay matches since 30 July finished 2-0 either way, with only three going to a deciding set, and her wins in this period came without dropping a set. Feistel's sample shows the same tendency, 11 straight-set results in 14. Both records therefore point to a short match, though three-setters are not absent and the small samples leave room for one.
- Lukas's clay scorelines across 13 matches: five 2-0 wins, five 0-2 losses, two 2-1 wins and one 1-2 loss.
- Only 3 of her 13 completed clay matches went to a deciding set.
- Sample covers 13 completed, non-retired clay matches from 2026-07-30 to 2026-10-11.
The qualifying draw placed Feistel and Lukas as its first and sixth seeds, so the two leading entrants in this section meet in the deciding round. Qualifying seeding is set by entry ranking, and the 83-place gap between them is modest, so the seed numbers describe draw placement rather than a clear difference in level. Both advanced without dropping a set, which leaves neither with a workload or recovery difference to weigh against the other.
- Gina Feistel is seeded 1 and Tena Lukas seeded 6 in the Lisboa Belem Open qualifying draw.
- Gina Feistel beat Elina Nepliy 6-3 6-3 in the qualifying first round.
- Tena Lukas beat Ana Filipa Santos 6-2 6-2 in the qualifying first round.

The winner earns a place in the WTA 125 main draw, so the prize is a main-field berth rather than a title. Clay is the surface both women have played on across their recent matches, so the court itself is a shared constant rather than a variable. The 12 October slot sits inside the qualifying programme ahead of the main draw, so the match is the last qualifying step before the main field is set.
- The fixture is the Lisboa Belem Open qualifying final, scheduled for 12 October 2026.
- The qualifying final is played on clay in Lisbon.
