Mattia Bellucci #80Italy11 – 2Lloyd Harris #1792

Harris, the No. 6 seed, has produced clean scorelines on this surface, but the sets inside them have often run close.

Harris has won 10 of his 12 hard-court best-of-three matches in this window, yet half of the same 12 needed a tiebreak, so his straight-set wins have often turned on a few points. For this final, it means a 2-0 Harris win is plausible without either set being comfortable, and Bellucci's ability to hold serve deep into sets matters more than the raw count of straight-set results.

Bellucci has reached the Jingshan final without dropping a set, closing out Erel 6-4, 6-4 after straight-set wins over Alexandre Muller and Adam Walton. That pattern matters for a final against a big server because he has not yet had to recover from a set down or solve a match from behind on this hard court this week. The limitation is opposition level: all three of his completed opponents are ranked outside the top 90, so the clean scorelines show control of his own service games rather than proof of handling higher-ranked resistance.

Harris, the No. 6 seed, reached his fifth semifinal of the season with a 7-5, 6-1 win over Andre Ilagan and then moved into the final when Bolt retired in the second-set tiebreak after Harris had lost the opening set 5-7. Until that set he had not dropped one at the event, winning his first three matches in straight sets. The retirement trims his workload but leaves a real question about handling a set deficit, because the match ended in the tiebreak before a third set could show whether the 5-7 was an outlier.
