Quick Take

Pre-match view

Context last updated 15 Sep 2026, 22:27 · Europe/Bucharest

Roca Batalla holds a clear edge in recent form and clay-court results, including a 2025 H2H win, and his superior return game should be the difference.

Back him to win the match and the first set, with a lean toward over 21.5 total games in what should be a competitive encounter.

Context

Napolitano, 29, is ranked 283 and has a 54% career win rate. He has struggled recently, winning only 4 of his last 15 matches.
His three retirements in that span, including a 3-0 retirement on clay on September 1, suggest a possible physical issue. If he is not fully fit, Roca Batalla can extend rallies and force errors. However, Napolitano won his last match in straight sets, so his condition may be improving.
- Napolitano retired in 3 of his last 15 matches: 3-0 ret. vs Henry Bernet (Sep 1), 6-1 3-2 ret. vs Zsombor Piros (Jul 20), 6-2 3-1 ret. vs Daniel Rincon (Jun 17).
- He won his most recent match 6-4 6-3 over Alex Marti Pujolras on Sep 15, showing no immediate sign of injury.
Roca Batalla, 32, is a clay-court specialist with 582 career wins on the surface. He has won 7 of his last 15 matches, all on clay.
In that span, Roca Batalla has won 52.2% of games and 51.5% of points, while Napolitano has won only 46.2% of games and 48.7% of points on clay. Roca Batalla also returns better, winning 41% of return points compared to Napolitano's 38.8%. This gives Roca Batalla an edge in baseline exchanges.
- Roca Batalla last 15 on clay: 7-8 record, 52.2% games won, 51.5% points won, 41% return points won.
- Napolitano last 10 on clay: 4-6 record, 46.2% games won, 48.7% points won, 38.8% return points won.
The players have met three times, with Napolitano leading 2-1 overall, but Roca Batalla won their most recent match.
In that June 2025 clay match, Roca Batalla won 7-6(2) 6-4. That result suggests Roca Batalla can handle Napolitano's serve and win key points on this surface. However, the sample is small and Napolitano won their two earlier meetings.
- H2H: Roca Batalla leads 1-2 overall, but won the most recent meeting 7-6(2) 6-4 on clay in June 2025.
- Napolitano won their 2019 and 2016 meetings, both on clay.
Napolitano, 30, is the defending champion at Biella after winning the 2025 title as a No. 847-ranked wildcard.
He returns to defend points and local pride, but his recent form and fitness issues make a repeat unlikely.
- He defeated Kilian Feldbausch 7-5, 6-3 in the 2025 Biella final after entering the tournament ranked No. 847.
- Stored recent sample: 1 wins from 5 tracked matches.
- A tracked match on 2026-09-01T00:00:00.000Z against Henry Bernet ended by retirement; the stored result was L.
