Quick Take

Pre-match view

Context last updated 26 Oct 2026, 15:17 · Europe/Bucharest

A 257-place ranking gap against the man in better recent form.

Muller's serve numbers make him the likelier winner, but 1.36 asks for a 73.5% win rate and his 7-7 hard-court stretch doesn't back that. Jasika at 2.9 is the one quoted price offering value, with the level of his opposition the clear risk.

Context

Jasika, ranked No. 388, arrives with more recent match wins than his higher-ranked opponent.
Those wins came against an unranked opponent and world No. 900, so they say more about rhythm than level. His 19 October loss to No. 475 Koki Matsuda is the fairer gauge of the step up Muller represents.
- Jasika beat Yuta Kikuchi (No. 900) 6-2 6-4 on 26 October 2026.
- Jasika beat Tae Woo Kim (unranked) 6-3 6-4 on 25 October 2026.
- Jasika lost 4-6 6-7 to No. 475 Koki Matsuda on 19 October 2026.
Muller is the higher-ranked player at No. 131 but has not pulled clear on hard in this stretch.
The caveat is the opposition: Bellucci is No. 68 and Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, a 6-1 7-5 winner on 27 September, is No. 13. The run reflects drawing better players as much as a dip in level, which matters against a No. 388 opponent.
- Muller lost 0-6 3-6 to No. 68 Mattia Bellucci on 30 September 2026.
- Muller lost 1-6 5-7 to No. 13 Alejandro Davidovich Fokina on 27 September 2026.
- Muller is 7-7 on hard in 14 completed matches between 19 August and 13 October 2026.
Muller's set-by-set record shows a middle-set problem rather than a slow start.
He has averaged 4.4 games won against 5.2 lost in first sets and 4.4 against 4.5 in second sets, so the scoreboard has stayed close while sets slipped away. In a best-of-three against a lower-ranked opponent, dropping the second set is the main route to an unnecessarily long afternoon.
- Muller's 14 hard-court matches from 19 August to 13 October 2026: first sets 7-7, second sets 5-9.
- First-set games average 4.4 won and 5.2 lost; second-set games 4.4 won and 4.5 lost.
- Only two of those 14 matches included a tiebreak.
