Quick Take

Pre-match view

Context last updated 25 Oct 2026, 22:23 · Europe/Bucharest

Jasika is ranked 388 to Kikuchi's 900 and owns the better hard-court record, but his 19 October loss to 475th-ranked Koki Matsuda keeps the gap from looking decisive.

Jasika winning is the likelier outcome. The 1.12 on him is no price at all, and 1.5 for a 2-0 win asks more than his straight-set record delivers; the worthwhile quotes are Kikuchi at 5.25 to win the match, at 4 for the opening set and at 3.8 for the second.

Context

Jasika, ranked 388, has won two of his last three completed hard-court matches, both in straight sets.
The 6-3 6-4 win over Kim is his most recent completed match and shows he is beating the opponents he should. The 19 October defeat to Matsuda, ranked 475, is the reminder that the ranking gap to Kikuchi does not make this a formality.
- 25 October 2026: beat Tae Woo Kim 6-3 6-4 on hard (13 hard-court matches tracked, 7-6 record, 11 September–25 October 2026).
- 19 October 2026: lost 4-6 6-7 to Koki Matsuda, ranked 475.
- 18 October 2026: beat Hiroki Moriya, ranked 480, 6-2 6-3.
Kikuchi, ranked 900, needed a third set after dropping the second-set tiebreak and took it 7-5.
The three-set win shows Kikuchi can close out a match this week, which matters for a player ranked 900. It sits against straight-set losses to Arthur Weber (403) on 14 October and Jay Dylan Hara Friend (272) on 6 October, plus a 6-0 6-2 defeat by Bernard Tomic (180) on 15 September.
- 25 October 2026: beat Dimitris Sakellaridis (ranked 555) 6-1 6-7 7-5 on hard, 19 games to 13.
- 14 October 2026: lost 4-6 3-6 to Arthur Weber (403). 6 October 2026: lost 1-6 4-6 to Jay Dylan Hara Friend (272).
- 15 September 2026: lost 0-6 2-6 to Bernard Tomic (180).
Only three of the 13 went to a deciding set, and his matches average 2.23 sets.
Jasika tends to win in straight sets or lose quickly, so a three-set finish is the minority outcome in his recent record. His matches average 21.5 total games, which keeps most sets short of a tiebreak.
- 13 hard-court matches, 11 September–25 October 2026: scorelines 2-0 six times, 0-2 four times, 2-1 once, 1-2 twice.
- Average 2.23 sets and 21.5 total games per match.
- Two retirements excluded from the sample.
His first sets sit level at 6-6, averaging 4.3 games won and 5.0 games lost.
Jasika's second-set record is 8-5 over 13 matches with 5.4 games won against 4.2 games lost, so this is the split where the two recent records diverge most.
- 12 hard-court matches tracked, 20 May–25 October 2026: 6-6 in first sets, 5-7 in second sets.
- Second sets average 4.1 games won and 4.6 games lost; first sets average 4.3 won and 5.0 lost.
- One set-two tiebreak across the 12 matches.
