Quick Take

Pre-match view

Context last updated 27 Oct 2026, 03:08 · Europe/Bucharest

The ranking gap says 101 against 441; the numbers say something closer, with Nagy 10-5 in her last 15 and marginally ahead on total points won.

Selekhmeteva should still come through, but 8.1 double faults a match keep the match open. At 1.12 she is far too short to back — that price demands a near-certainty the record does not support.

Context

The left-hander's second serve is the least settled part of her game.
Double faults hand Nagy free points without a ball struck, and Nagy's return numbers are the stronger of the two over 15 matches. Selekhmeteva's 57.8% break-points-saved rate shows she has absorbed much of that damage so far. Whether the second serve holds across three sets is the central question in her game here.
- Last 15 matches tracked: 122 double faults, an average of 8.1 per match.
- Same 15-match sample: 57.8% of break points saved (93 of 161).
Nagy, ranked 441, has played far more recently than her higher-ranked opponent.
Nagy needed three sets and 35 games to get past a player ranked 475 the day before this match. Across her last 15 matches her average match length is 106.1 minutes, and hers is the tighter turnaround of the two players here. The record says nothing about how the workload will tell; it is a note on freshness, not a forecast.
- 26 October 2026: beat Daria Yesypchuk (ranked 475) 6-7, 7-5, 6-4 on indoor hard, 19 games to 16.
- Three sets and 35 games in her last completed match before this fixture; her 15-match average duration is 106.1 minutes.
The lower-ranked player's return game is the part of her record that travels best.
Nagy has turned 76 of 132 break points into games across 15 matches and wins 47.1% of return points in the same window. That is the area most likely to keep this close against a higher-ranked opponent. Her 55.5% break-points-saved rate (76 of 137) is the other side of the ledger.
- Last 15 matches tracked: break points converted 57.6% (76 of 132).
- Same sample: break points saved 55.5% (76 of 137); return points won 47.1% (504 of 1,071).
