Context last updated 27 Oct 2026, 22:07 · Europe/Bucharest

Gabriela Ce, ranked 346 and at home in Curitiba, meets No.

104 Solana Sierra in the second round after both won their openers in straight sets. Sierra, the third seed, is the likelier winner. But the 1.38 on her asks for about 72.5% while her 6-9 recent sample sits nearer 60%, so no quoted price here is worth backing.

Context

Ce's clay results have started close and finished strongly, with the second set carrying most of her edge.
Ce has won 4.54 games against 4.38 lost in first sets across 13 clay matches, a near-even split with one tiebreak; the second set is where she has pulled away at 5.38 games to 3.15. One retirement was excluded from that sample. Against a higher-ranked opponent, the pattern suggests she will be more competitive after the opener than during it.
- Ce's clay set1 record is 6-7, with 4.54 games won and 4.38 lost per set across 13 matches (22 July–26 Oct 2026).
- Ce's clay set2 record is 10-3, with 5.38 games won and 3.15 lost in the same 13-match sample.
- One retirement is excluded from that clay sample.
Sierra's first delivery has been productive; her second serve has been the part of the game under constant pressure.
The first delivery has done damage: 406 of 659 first-serve points won across 15 matches. Behind it, 210 of 491 second-serve points (42.8%) and 107 double faults in 15 matches describe a recurring weakness rather than a one-off. A left-handed returner on clay has a clear route into those second serves.
- Sierra's first serve: 659 of 1150 in (57.3%), 406 of 659 points won (61.6%), 15 matches tracked.
- Second-serve points won: 210 of 491 (42.8%).
- Double faults: 107 in 15 matches, an average of 7.1 per match.
Cé's 6-4, 6-0 win over Fernanda Labrana is a current clay-court result at the same venue. It gives this fixture a concrete home-event milestone after her first WTA 125-level win of the season. Labrana entered as a qualifier, so the result is primarily tournament context rather than a broad measure of opposition.
- Cé beat Fernanda Labrana 6-4, 6-0 in the Curitiba opening round.
- It was Cé's first WTA 125-level victory of the 2026 season.

The 6-3, 6-1 result is Sierra's first documented clay match in the current 15-match sample. It establishes the immediate tournament route into this meeting and gives both players experience on Curitiba's clay. Gonzalez Daniele was ranked No. 433 in the match scratch, so the score alone offers limited opposition-comparison context.
- Sierra beat Justina Gonzalez Daniele 6-3, 6-1 in Curitiba's round of 32.
- The victory created the meeting with Cé.
