Pre-match view

Context last updated 27 Oct 2026, 03:10 · Europe/Bucharest

Jones sits 355 ranking places above Urrutia, but her last clay match was a six-games-to-12 defeat by a 153-ranked opponent, while Urrutia has won five of seven on the surface and every second set.

Jones is the likely winner, though 1.05 asks for a certainty her clay form does not show. The prices with room are Urrutia at 10 for the match, 5.75 for the first set, 5.5 for the second set, and a third set at 3.5.

Context

Urrutia's second-set scoring has been the most reliable part of her clay run.
The sample is seven matches and recent, and her opponents were ranked well below Jones. Even so, a 7-0 second-set record with 6.1 games to 2.9 games means she has been closing sets rather than fading in them. If she stays close early in Curitiba, that is the pattern an upset would be built on.
- Won all seven second sets across seven clay matches tracked from 14 to 24 October 2026.
- Averaged 6.1 games won and 2.9 games conceded in those second sets.
- Four of the seven matches finished 2-0 in her favour, one 2-1 and two 1-2.
It is one match rather than a trend, and it came against a higher-ranked opponent than Urrutia. It does show Jones can be beaten comfortably on clay by a player outside the top 150. It is also the freshest evidence available on her level on the surface.
- Lost 0-2 (2-6, 4-6) to 153-ranked Dalma Galfi on 16 October 2026 on clay.
- Won six games and lost 12 games in the match.
Only one of those nine matches contained a tiebreak, and her sets have generally been settled without extended closing games. That is why quick finishes have been the norm rather than a third set. The same record includes two 0-2 defeats, so the short matches have not all gone her way.
- Nine clay matches tracked between 30 July and 16 October 2026, with scorelines of five 2-0, one 2-1, one 1-2 and two 0-2.
- Total games averaged 21.3 across the nine matches; sets averaged 2.2.
- Only one of the nine matches contained a tiebreak.
