Context last updated 26 Oct 2026, 03:05 · Europe/Bucharest

Two men who both won on 25 October meet in the final qualifying round at Brest, and the ranking (Poullain 318, Bobichon 515) points one way while the hard-court numbers point the other.

Bobichon has the stronger serve and break-point record across the 15-match samples, so he is the pick to win. At 2.9 for the match and 2.6 for either set, his prices offer something worth taking.

Context

No off-court news or availability questions were found, and both players competed on 25 October. The assessment rests on 15-match hard-court samples for each man, so conditions are ordinary and the uncertainty is statistical rather than situational.

Bobichon's recent record is built on closing matches out in two sets rather than surviving long three-set scraps.
If his serve holds as it has, this may not need a third set. The same pattern cuts both ways, though: four of his 15 sample matches were 0-2 defeats, so the straight-set habit is not purely a winning trait.
- Across 15 hard-court best-of-three matches from 8 September to 25 October 2026, Bobichon's scorelines were nine 2-0 wins, one 2-1 win, four 0-2 losses and one 1-2 loss.
- He won 65.6% of sets (21 of 32) in that sample.
- His second sets were stronger than his firsts: 11 wins from 15, with 5.2 games won and 3.73 games lost per second set.
Bobichon's serving numbers are the part of his game that most clearly separates him from his ranking of 515.
Escaping break points at that rate makes him hard to break even when returns land. Poullain's comparable figure over his own 15-match sample is 56.8%, a gap of nearly 15 points, though both are small recent samples.
- Bobichon saved 65 of 91 break points (71.4%) across 15 hard-court matches in the sample.
- He won 73.2% of first-serve points (408 of 557) in the same 15 matches.
- He averaged 5.4 aces and 2.9 double faults per match, with first serves in at 58.8%.
Poullain spent little time on court the day before this qualifying round, which leaves him with fewer recent miles than a three-setter would.
A clean, quick win is a comfortable base for the next day, but one result against an opponent with no listed ranking says little about how Poullain handles Bobichon's serve. His 9-6 sample remains the better guide to this match.
- Poullain beat Timeo Trufelli 6-3 6-1 on 25 October 2026 on indoor hard court.
- He won 12 games and lost 4 in the completed two-set match.
- The opponent had no ranking listed in the record.
