A main-draw place at the Fort Worth Challenger comes down to one hard-court match between two men with very different recent surfaces.

Miyoshi has 15 hard matches behind him this autumn and is the likelier winner; Jong's 11-3 run was built on clay, with one hard-court win here. At 1.8, Miyoshi is the only quoted price worth taking.

Context

The final qualifying round is the only route into the main draw for both men, so the result is pass-or-exit: the winner enters the main draw and the loser's week ends in qualifying. Because both came through semifinals on 18 October, the rest window is identical and the meaningful difference lies in how much each spent getting here rather than in the schedule. Court V4 is an outside assignment at a 75-level event, so the setting itself is unlikely to separate them; a first-round main-draw place carries the weight.
- The fixture is the Fort Worth Challenger qualifying final, scheduled for not before 12:00.
- The qualifying final is listed for Court V4.
- Fort Worth is a 75-level ATP Challenger event played on hard courts.

Jong builds his game around clay and produced his recent results there, so Fort Worth's hard courts require an immediate conversion of rhythm rather than a gradual one. Miyoshi's recent record is entirely on hard, which gives him the more familiar surface for a match that may run long. One hard-court match is a thin base for judging how quickly Jong adapts, and his clay wins came mostly against lower-ranked opponents, so the surface shift is a reasonable input rather than a settled advantage.
- Jong lost the Open Greencourt Sabadell final 6-3 6-2 to Gerard Campaña Lee .
- Fourteen of his 15 recorded matches before this week were played on clay.
- Clay is listed as his preferred surface.

Jong spent an extra set and a tiebreak in his semifinal and had to come from a set down, while Miyoshi closed his out in two sets. Both play again the next day, so the gap is small but real, and it is the kind of difference that tends to surface late in a match rather than at the start. No injury or availability issue is on record for either player, so this reads as a workload contrast rather than a fitness concern.
- Jong won 3-6 7-6(3) 6-2 against Keegan Rice in the Fort Worth qualifying semifinal .
- Miyoshi won 6-3 6-3 against Keshav Chopra in the same qualifying round .

Doubles is a secondary commitment, but a first round on 20 October, the day after this qualifying final, shows Miyoshi has planned for a two-draw week in Fort Worth. If he qualifies, he faces singles and doubles on consecutive days at a 75-level event where the points and prize money on offer are modest. The practical consequence for this match is limited: nothing indicates the doubles entry affects his singles availability, and it says more about his intentions for the week than about the qualifying final itself.
- Miyoshi is listed in the Fort Worth Challenger doubles draw alongside O. Baris.
- The doubles match is scheduled for 20 October at 11:00 against W. Thayne and J. Vance.
