Zhu came through Jingshan qualifying and beat No.

112 Vukic, while Liu, ranked 822, has not played since 13 September. Zhu is the more likely winner, but at 1.18 to win the match and 1.29 for either of the first two sets, his prices ask far more than his recent results and 9-5 hard-court record support. The prices that hold up are on the other side: Liu at 4.25 to win the match, and 3.3 to take either the first or the second set.

Context

Zhu is ranked No. 502 and has to qualify to reach Challenger main draws; here he beat an opponent ranked almost 400 places above him. Vukic stopped at 4-2 in the second set, so the win never required a completed third set and it says less about Zhu over a full match than the scoreline suggests. What it does establish is current form: Zhu won on 28 and and plays this first round a day later, while Liu begins the tournament without a match in Jingshan.
- Final round of qualifying, : Zhu beat Vukic 6-3 4-2 ret. to reach the Jingshan main draw
- Vukic was ranked No. 112 at the time of the match, against Zhu's No. 502
- Structured match data records the same match as a retirement win for Zhu

This Challenger 100 drew an unusually strong qualifying list for its level, with a No. 91 player winning two matches simply to enter the main draw. That explains the weight of Zhu's route: beating a top-112 opponent in the last qualifying round is a harder path into the first round than his No. 502 ranking implies. It also frames the company both players are keeping, since the seventh seed waiting in the next round is ranked No. 183.
- Main draw singles for the Jingshan Challenger 100 published
- Mattia Bellucci (No. 91) qualified without dropping a set and was drawn against Alexandre Muller
- Terence Atmane (No. 99) qualified without dropping a set
- Qualifying field described as containing four top-100 players, three of whom would have been seeded in the main draw

The winner of this match already knows the next opponent: Bolt, the seventh seed, completed his first-round match in straight sets . That turns the first round into a route to a seeded, top-200 player rather than a standalone fixture. Bolt, 33, needed two sets and no tie-break to get through, so he arrives in the second round without extended court time.
- Alex Bolt beat Sema Pankin 6-3 6-2 in the first round
- Bolt is the seventh seed at Jingshan and ranked No. 183; Pankin is ranked No. 425
- Bolt will play the winner of Evan Zhu against Hanyi Liu in the second round

Entry status runs opposite to ranking here: the higher-ranked of the two spent the opening days of the week winning qualifying matches, while the lower-ranked player was placed straight into the main draw. Liu therefore starts without a match on the Jingshan courts, and his most recent recorded singles match was on 14 September. Zhu arrives with two wins behind him in the previous 48 hours, so the two players begin this first round from different starting points.
- Zhu qualified and was drawn against Hanyi Liu in the first round
- Liu appears in the main draw without a qualifying result at Jingshan this week
- Structured match data lists Liu's most recent recorded singles match on 14 September 2026
