Daria Egorova #353Russia22 – 0Melisa Ercan #673Türkiye0

Ercan's hard-court sample runs from 30 June to 20 September 2026 and is small, so the set-by-set split is a pattern to watch rather than a settled trait.

The even first-set record shows Ercan has not routinely taken early control on this surface, while the 9-2 second-set mark shows she has usually been the stronger player once matches have lengthened. Across a fixture where her opponent has no tracked hard-court match in this window, that split makes the opening set the least predictable part of the contest.

Egorova's latest results were produced on clay, while the Ankara qualifying final is played on hard court.

No completed hard-court match for Egorova appears in the supplied window, and her last tracked outing of any kind was on 7 August 2026. That leaves her current hard-court level unknown rather than poor, and it is a real uncertainty going into this match rather than a sign of anything about her form.

On 20 September, Ercan completed a 6-2, 6-0 match on the event's hard court while Egorova received the opening-round bye. The qualifying final is therefore Ercan's second match of the week and Egorova's first on-court tournament appearance. That creates a difference in match exposure at this venue. One routine two-set match does not amount to exceptional workload or establish an advantage.

The 14 September ranking week placed Egorova at No. 353, a career-best mark one week before this qualifier. It frames the fixture during a sustained rise through 2026 rather than as an isolated appearance. The ranking records achievement, not a match-specific cause or current hard-court readiness. Her published preferred-surface listing is clay, which limits what the ranking alone establishes here.
