Quick Take

Pre-match view

Context last updated 15 Sep 2026, 15:03 · Europe/Bucharest

Basile's superior clay form and serve give him the edge, but odds are short.

Manzano's break-point conversion and first-set prowess could make this closer than expected. Best to avoid heavy stakes on the favorite.

Context

Basile, ranked 553, is a right-hander with a one-handed backhand and has built his 2026 season almost entirely on clay, winning 21 of 32 matches on the surface.
Basile's 80% win rate over his last 15 matches on clay is backed by strong serving and return numbers, while Manzano's recent losses have come against opponents ranked outside the top 500. This suggests Basile enters with a clear form edge, though Manzano's left-handed game and higher career win percentage on clay keep the matchup competitive.
- Basile's last 15 matches on clay: 12 wins, 3 losses (80% win rate).
- Manzano's last 5 matches: 2 wins, 3 losses, including a 6-2 7-5 loss to Gerard Campana Lee (ranked 526).
- Basile's last 15 clay stats: 72.7% first-serve points won, 44.3% return points won.
- Manzano's last 15 clay stats: 64.3% first-serve points won, 44.4% return points won.
Manzano, ranked 455, is a left-hander with a two-handed backhand and has played 179 career matches, winning 63.1% of them, mostly on clay.
Basile's one-handed backhand may be vulnerable to Manzano's lefty serve out wide on the ad court, a pattern that could give Manzano free points and break opportunities. However, Basile's recent return numbers are solid, so the advantage may be limited.
- Manzano plays left-handed with a two-handed backhand.
- Basile plays right-handed with a one-handed backhand.
- No head-to-head matches between the two players.
