Quick Take

Pre-match view

Context last updated 3 Sep 2026, 03:05 · Europe/Bucharest

Rincon's serve and ranking give him a slight edge, but Montes-De La Torre's hard-court record and return game make this a close contest.

Best bets: Rincon moneyline, over 21.5 total games, and Montes-De La Torre +3.5 games.

Context

Rincon, 22, is a left-hander from Spain ranked 208. He has a career win rate of 57% and has been more successful on clay overall.
His recent hard-court sample is small but positive: 3-1 in his last four matches on the surface, with wins over Daniil Glinka and Titouan Droguet. This suggests he can compete on hard courts despite his clay-heavy background. However, the sample size is limited, so his form may not be fully reliable.
- Rincon's last four hard-court matches: W vs Glinka (rank 156), L vs Barrios Vera (144), W vs Lee (unranked), W vs Droguet (103).
- His overall last-15 record is 9-6, but on clay it is 6-5, showing a slight dip on his preferred surface.
Montes-De La Torre, 24, is a right-hander from Spain ranked 274. He has a career win rate of 67.9% and has been more balanced across surfaces.
His recent hard-court record is 5-1, including a win over Mathys Erhard in the first round of this tournament. This suggests he is comfortable on hard courts and could challenge Rincon. However, his opponents in that stretch were mostly lower-ranked, so the quality of wins is modest.
- Montes-De La Torre's last six hard-court matches: W vs Erhard (339), L vs Loffhagen (371), W vs Hara Friend (312), W vs Boitan (500), W vs Paldanius (824), W vs Ponchet (783).
- His overall last-15 record is 10-5, with a 5-1 hard-court record in that span.
The two Spaniards have met once before, in October 2024 on clay.
Montes-De La Torre won 6-4 6-3, which gives him a psychological edge in this matchup. However, that match was on clay, and this one is on hard court, so the surface change may reduce the relevance of that result.
- H2H: Montes-De La Torre defeated Rincon 6-4 6-3 on clay in 2024.
- The match was played at a Challenger event, and both players have similar rankings now.
