Petr Nesterov #36411 – 2Yanaki Milev #7502

Nesterov, ranked 300, has built a 28-11 clay record in 2026 and is comfortable on this surface. Milev, ranked 858, has a 17-20 clay record this year and has struggled against higher-ranked opponents.

Nesterov's recent clay form is clearly stronger: he has won 11 of 15 matches with a 55% games won percentage, while Milev has won 8 of 15 with 51.9% games won. Nesterov also has a better return points won (44.4% vs 41%) and first serve points won (67% vs 65.9%). However, Milev's break point save rate is higher (64.1% vs 59.2%), which could keep him competitive in tight games.

Milev's serve has been a weak point this season, with a career double fault rate that is high for his level. Nesterov's return game is solid, winning 44.4% of return points in his last 15 matches.

Milev's 3.9 double faults per match in his last 15 is a significant liability, especially against Nesterov's above-average return. Nesterov converts 43.7% of break points, so Milev's serving errors could lead to early breaks and put him on the back foot.

The two players have met twice before, both on clay, with Nesterov winning in 2024 and Milev winning in 2023.

The head-to-head is even at 1-1, and both matches were on clay. Nesterov won the most recent meeting in three sets, but Milev's earlier straight-set win shows he can compete. This suggests the match could be closer than the ranking gap implies.
