Context last updated 19 Jul 2026, 17:44 · Europe/Bucharest

Jerome Kym's superior clay pedigree and serve give him the edge, but Jay Clarke's competitiveness suggests a close match.

Best bets: Kym 2-1 at 3.75 and over 9.5 games in set one. Avoid Clarke outright or in straight sets.

Context

Kym lost a tight three-setter to Stefanos Tsitsipas in Gstaad on July 16, lasting over two hours.
- He also played a three-set win on July 14 and a semifinal run in Iasi the week before, totaling five matches in 10 days.
- The Zug match is scheduled as the fourth on Monday, giving him only three full days between matches.
Clarke retired at 4-6, 6-3, 4-0 down to Wessels on July 14, with no public injury detail.
- He has lost four of his last five clay matches, including the retirement.
- No current fitness alert has surfaced, but the quick return from a retirement raises questions.
