Cezar Cretu, fresh and ranked No. 272, holds a clear edge over lucky loser Alex Marti Pujolras, who is fatigued from two qualifying matches.

Cretu's superior serve metrics and recent form make him the likely winner, but the best betting value lies in over 21.5 total games, over 9.5 first-set games, and over 7.5 double faults.

Context

Marti Pujolras beat Vijay Sundar Prashanth 6-2 6-3 on July 5, then lost to Samir Hamza Reguig 6-2 2-6 6-4 in a 2-hour, 6-minute match on July 6.
- He re-entered the main draw as a lucky loser for Tuesday's Round of 32, giving him only one day between his last qualifying match and this first-round contest.
- Cretu enters as an alternate with no qualifying load, having last played on June 30, so he is fully rested.
In his last 15 matches, Cretu defeated Sumit Nagal (ranked 219), Radu Albot (440), Liam Broady (209), and Pavel Kotov (249).
- He also beat Alvaro Guillen Meza (276) and Akira Santillan (310) in straight sets in late June.
- Marti Pujolras' recent wins have come against lower-ranked opponents, with his last top-300 win being over Benjamin Hassan (419) in early June.
