Van Assche's superior ranking (No. 100 vs No. 271) and proven success against higher-level competition on clay give him a structural edge, despite Rincon's hot streak in Parma.
- Van Assche holds a 10-9 clay record in 2026 vs Rincon's 18-8, but Van Assche's wins include higher-ranked opponents (e.g., No. 32 Nakashima, No. 129 Gaubas).
- Van Assche's career clay win percentage (102 wins) and 2026 Challenger titles (Quimper, Lille) indicate strong clay pedigree.
- Rincon's recent form includes a win over No. 136 Martinez, but his losses to lower-ranked players (e.g., No. 291 Blanch) raise consistency concerns.
