Quick Take

Pre-match view

Context last updated 28 Oct 2026, 03:32 · Europe/Bucharest

Zhou, ranked 280, brings the bigger serve; Delaney, 357, has had all seven of his defeats come in straight sets and starts slowly at 5-9 in first sets.

Zhou's own first-set edge is modest, so the opener is the live question. Zhou is the likelier match winner, but 1.18 leaves nothing. The prices that hold up are Delaney to win at 4.25 and Delaney to take the first set at 3.3.

Context

Zhou's serve is the part of his game most likely to decide how comfortably he holds, and the gap between his first and second delivery is wide.
Zhou lands 63.8% of first serves and wins three-quarters of those points (555 of 722), with 8.5 aces a match. Behind the second serve the number drops to 46.9% (192 of 409), and he saves 65.9% of the break points he faces. Delaney's return figures are not available in this sample, so how well he can attack that second serve is unknown rather than assumed.
- 15 hard-court matches tracked, 29 Jul 2026 to 27 Oct 2026.
- First-serve points won: 555 of 722 (76.9%).
- Second-serve points won: 192 of 409 (46.9%).
- First serves in: 722 of 1131 (63.8%).
Delaney's results show a player whose matches either run his way or end without much resistance.
Seven 0-2 results in 14 matches means Delaney's losses have been settled quickly, while four of his seven wins were also 2-0. The counterpoint is that three wins did go the distance, including 6-4 4-6 6-4 against Alexandr Binda on 27 October, so he is not certain to fold if the first set gets away from him.
- 14 hard-court matches tracked, 7 Sep 2026 to 27 Oct 2026.
- Scorelines in the window: 0-2 seven times, 2-0 four times, 2-1 three times.
- One retired match excluded from the sample.
- 27 Oct 2026: beat Alexandr Binda 6-4 4-6 6-4.
Zhou's sets have tended to stay on serve deep into the set rather than break open early.
Zhou's first sets averaged 10.33 games with five decided by a tiebreak, and his second sets averaged 9.67 games with two more. Delaney's opening sets averaged 10.29 games and produced four tiebreaks in 14 matches, so the early scoreboard is more likely to stay close than the ranking gap suggests. Zhou still won 9 of his 15 first sets.
- 15 hard-court matches tracked, 29 Jul 2026 to 27 Oct 2026.
- 8 of 15 matches included at least one tiebreak.
- Set 1: five tiebreaks, 10.33 games per set on average.
- Set 2: two tiebreaks, 9.67 games per set on average.
