Quick Take

Pre-match view

Context last updated 26 Oct 2026, 03:50 · Europe/Bucharest

Buse is 46 places higher and won their only meeting, but Mannarino has the indoor form and the first-set record.

Mannarino is the likelier winner, though 1.73 on him to win the match gives nothing back. The 1.73 on Mannarino to win the first set is the one quoted price that offers something; under 2.5 sets at 1.55 is no bargain.

Context

Buse, ranked 33, holds the only head-to-head result between the two players.
Buse took the only completed meeting 6-4 6-2 on 22 April 2026, dropping six games across two sets. It is a single match, with no detail on surface or what either player's level was at the time, so it sits as a caution rather than a trend. Mannarino's indoor results since mid-September point the other way.
- The only recorded meeting came on 22 April 2026, won by Ignacio Buse 6-4 6-2.
Mannarino, ranked 79, has produced his best recent result against a top-25 opponent.
The Rublev result sits alongside wins over Aleksandar Vukic, Tirante and Molcan between 19 and 25 October, with the only defeat a 3-6 1-6 loss to Nikoloz Basilashvili (No. 128). The larger indoor hard sample since 15 September is 9-5 from 14 matches. It supports the form case but does not close the ranking gap to Buse.
- Beat Andrey Rublev (No. 22) 6-4 3-6 6-3 on 21 October 2026 on indoor hard.
Buse arrives in Vienna without a completed match since 10 October.
The 10 October loss to Bergs (No. 41) was his second straight-sets defeat on hard, after 1-6 6-7 to Quentin Halys (No. 46) on 1 October. Across 11 hard matches in the tracked window he is 6-5, winning 49.1% of games. Seventeen days without a completed match leaves his current level unconfirmed; no injury or availability information was supplied.
- Lost 0-6 3-6 to Zizou Bergs (No. 41) on 10 October 2026.
- No completed match between 10 October and the 27 October first round.
Buse's second sets have been the weaker half of his hard-court matches.
His first sets average 4.44 games won against 4.78 lost, but second sets fall to 4.56 against 5.67. That split matters in a best-of-three format where the middle set often settles the match. The sample is nine matches over two months, so it is a pattern worth watching rather than an established trait.
- Second sets: 2-7 across nine hard-court matches, 4.56 games won and 5.67 games lost per set.
- First sets in the same sample: 5-4, averaging 4.44 games won and 4.78 games lost.
