A main-draw place at the Olbia Challenger is on the line between two French qualifiers, with No.

373 Erhard favoured over No. 710 Raquillet on hard courts. Erhard's stronger surface record and his habit of winning opening sets make him the likelier winner, but the 1.22 and 1.29 quotes on him ask too much. Raquillet at 3.8 for the match and 3.3 for the first set are the prices worth a look.

Context

Erhard's opening sets on hard have been settled by a break or more rather than through tiebreaks, which makes a fast start his most repeatable pattern.
Erhard has won 10 of 13 first sets on hard between 4 August and 11 October 2026, averaging 5.54 games to 3.92, and none of those opening sets reached a tiebreak. Raquillet has won two of five first sets in the same window and has been outscored in them, 3.6 games to 4.6. The samples are small — 13 matches for Erhard, five for Raquillet — and Erhard has lost three first sets, so an early break against him is not unusual.
- 13 hard-court matches tracked from 4 August to 11 October 2026
- First set: 10 wins, 3 losses, 5.54 games won to 3.92 lost on average
- No first-set tiebreak in any of the 13 matches
Olbia is a 125-level Challenger staged on hard courts at Tennis Club Terranova, so its main draw contains four top-100 players while both men in this fixture are ranked far outside the direct-acceptance range and can enter only through qualifying. The event runs 11-18 October, so whoever wins this match joins the main draw immediately without a rest day. The qualifying draw was finalised on 10 October and the main draw, so the field and court conditions for the week are now settled.
- Olbia Challenger 125 qualifying draw made on 10 October 2026 at Tennis Club Terranova
- Main draw drawn with seven Italians and Jaume Munar headlining the entry list
ConfirmedSources checked 12 Oct 2026, 01:02 · Europe/Bucharest
The winner of this match takes the main-draw place that the final qualifying round awards, so both men are playing for entry into the event rather than for ranking points alone. Raquillet needed three sets and recovered from a set down against Boitan, while Erhard finished in straight sets, so Raquillet carries the slightly heavier load from the previous day. That difference is modest and not decisive on its own, but it is the clearest preparation distinction between two players at a similar level of the qualifying draw.
- Raquillet def. Gabi Adrian Boitan 4-6 6-4 6-4 in the opening round of Olbia qualifying
- Erhard def. Lorenzo Rocco 6-4 7-6(4) in the opening round of Olbia qualifying
ConfirmedSources checked 12 Oct 2026, 01:02 · Europe/Bucharest
Both defeats came in qualifying rounds that decide main-draw entry, so Erhard reaches Olbia having missed his two previous chances to turn a qualifying run into a main draw. That makes the stage of this match specifically relevant to his side of the draw: he has been close to main draws without closing them out. The outcomes are not uniform, though, as Tarvet was the higher-ranked player at Villena while Barroso Campos was ranked below Erhard at Mouilleron-le-Captif, so the sequence does not show a single clear trend.
- Erhard lost to Oliver Tarvet in the Villena Challenger qualifying semifinal
- Alberto Barroso Campos beat Erhard 5-7 6-4 6-2 to reach the Mouilleron-le-Captif main draw
