Quick Take

Pre-match view

Context last updated 4 Oct 2026, 20:13 · Europe/Bucharest

Kopp and Forejtek meet on clay separated by 27 ranking places, with Kopp's serve and return numbers the stronger and Forejtek's recent results the better.

Kopp to win the match at 2.10 is the strongest quoted price, and Kopp to take the first set at 2.00 is the other price that holds an edge, though a smaller one. Forejtek at 1.73, in the match or either set, does not justify the outlay.

Context

Kopp's clay results tend to be settled quickly rather than ground out over three sets.
The pattern is about match shape, not about who wins: six of those 15 matches were 0-2 defeats, so a straight-set finish does not favour Kopp by itself. It does mean a long three-setter is the less common outcome when he plays, which is the sharper contrast with Forejtek in this first round.
- Sandro Kopp's 15 tracked clay matches, 29 July to 21 September 2026: 2-0 (7), 0-2 (6), 2-1 (1), 1-2 (1).
- Kopp's clay matches average 2.13 sets and 19.5 total games across that 15-match sample.
- Seven of Kopp's eight clay wins in that window came in straight sets.
Forejtek's recent clay record includes a win over a player well above him in the rankings.
Gill sits 120 places above Forejtek, so beating him in straight sets is the clearest evidence in the recent record that Forejtek handles higher-ranked clay opponents. It is one match, so it balances Kopp's 27-place ranking edge rather than overturning it.
- 25 September 2026: Jonas Forejtek beat Felix Gill (ranked 217) 7-6 6-0 on clay.
- Forejtek won 13 games to 6 in that match.
Forejtek's matches take longer to settle than his opponent's, with third sets a regular feature of his clay record.
His 14 matches split into three 2-0 wins, three 0-2 defeats, four 2-1 wins and four 1-2 defeats, so the extra sets come from both sides of his results. That points to a longer match if the contest is close, rather than to an advantage either way.
- Jonas Forejtek's 14 tracked clay matches, 2 June to 27 September 2026: 2-0 (3), 2-1 (4), 0-2 (3), 1-2 (4).
- Forejtek's clay matches average 2.57 sets and 24.4 total games.
- Eight of the 14 went to a deciding set; one retired match was excluded from the sample.
