Quick Take

Pre-match view

Context last updated 4 Oct 2026, 15:21 · Europe/Bucharest

Two closely ranked clay qualifiers: Parisca's fuller 15-match clay sample edges ahead of Ghetu's higher ranking.

Parisca is the narrow pick to win, with the game handicaps also leaning his way. The only price reviewed, the straight-sets finish at 1.50, offers no advantage, so there is nothing worthwhile to take.

Context

Ghetu has been the slower starter in these clay samples, while Parisca has taken the opening set in 8 of his 15.
Ghetu's opening sets across 10 clay matches from 8 August to 29 September 2026 read 4-6, with 4.2 games won against 4.8 lost. Parisca has taken the first set in 8 of his 15 clay matches. If those patterns hold, Parisca is the likelier player to lead early, but Ghetu's 6-4 second-set record shows he regularly recovers, so an early lead would not settle the match.
- Ghetu's set-1 record on clay: 4 wins, 6 losses across 10 matches, 4.2 games won and 4.8 lost per set (8 August to 29 September 2026).
- He lost the opening set in his three most recent clay matches: 3-6 v Ryo Tabata (29 Sep 2026), 2-6 v Radu David Turcanu (30 Aug 2026) and 3-6 v Anas Mazdrashki (29 Aug 2026).
Parisca has played short clay matches in both directions, and five of his straight-set results were defeats.
The 15-match clay sample splits into six 2-0 wins, three 2-1 wins, five 0-2 losses and one 1-2 loss, with 55.9% of sets and 52.4% of games won. Short matches have not automatically meant wins: five of the straight-set results were defeats. Only five of the 15 matches contained a tiebreak, so sets have tended to be settled before six games all rather than stretched to the end.
- Parisca's clay scorelines across 15 matches (18 August to 27 September 2026): six 2-0 wins, three 2-1 wins, five 0-2 losses, one 1-2 loss.
- Only 4 of the 15 matches reached a deciding set and 5 of the 15 contained a tiebreak.
Ghetu's freshest clay evidence is a two-set defeat by a player ranked well below him.
Ghetu won seven games across the two sets, losing a match that ended in 19 games. His clay record in this 10-match sample stands at 6-4, so one result does not define the run, but it is the freshest evidence and it arrived without a tiebreak or a third set. Tabata sits 311 places below him in the rankings, which makes it a sharper defeat than the scoreline alone suggests.
- Gabriel Ghetu lost 3-6 4-6 to Ryo Tabata (ranked 874) on 29 September 2026 on clay, winning 7 games to 12.
- Ghetu is ranked 563, 311 places above Tabata, and his clay record in the tracked 10-match sample is 6-4.
Parisca's first delivery has been productive but streaky, and the double-fault count adds up over a match.
The first serve has been effective when it lands, winning 67.9% of points, and 49.9% of second-serve points have also been won. The cost is volume: 60 double faults across 15 matches. Ghetu's sample contains no serve or return data, so there is no like-for-like comparison. In a match where a handful of free points can swing a set, four double faults a match is worth noting.
- Parisca averaged 4.0 double faults per match (60 across 15 clay matches, 18 August to 27 September 2026) and landed 58.2% of first serves.
- He won 67.9% of first-serve points and 49.9% of second-serve points in the same clay sample.
