Oliynykova, ranked 47, faces 135th-ranked Yuan in the Beijing first round, with the winner meeting fourth seed Mirra Andreeva.

Yuan wins opening sets but has lost six of ten hard-court matches, including to players outside the top 250. Oliynykova to win at 2.6 is the only quoted price that offers anything; the 1.45 for under 2.5 sets does not.

Context

Oliynykova's hard-court matches in this window have been short and settled in two sets, in both directions.
Nine hard-court matches without a third set gives a clear shape to her matches, though five of those nine were defeats, so a quick finish says nothing about who wins. Three of her four wins finished 13-7, 12-8 and 12-7 in games, all in straight sets. Yuan's ten hard-court matches run the other way, with six of them going to a decider.
- Oliynykova's nine completed hard-court matches between 3 August and 23 September 2026 produced four 2-0 wins and five 0-2 defeats
- Those nine matches averaged 18 games and 2.0 sets each, with two tiebreaks
Yuan starts hard-court matches well but has not been able to close them out this window.
Winning eight first sets from ten is a strong start rate, and her opening sets averaged 9.3 games, but the same ten matches produced only four wins. Every match that reached a third set ended in a loss, most recently against a player ranked 261st. Her fast starts should not be read as control of a match against an opponent ranked 88 places above her.
- Yuan won 8 of 10 opening sets across ten hard-court matches from 14 July to 21 September 2026
- Those ten hard-court matches finished 4-6, with six three-set defeats and four straight-set wins
- Her first sets averaged 9.3 games in total
The China Open main draw, confirmed, places this first-round tie in a section headed by fourth seed Mirra Andreeva, who opens on a bye. The winner therefore steps straight into a second-round match against one of the tournament's leading seeds rather than easing into the event. Both players sit outside the top 40, so the ranking gap to that next opponent is wide. The pairing itself offers no sharper read on how the match will be played, but it frames the value of the round.
- Beijing WTA 1000 draw lists Oliynykova against Yuan Yue as a first-round tie, dated
- The winner is placed to meet fourth seed Mirra Andreeva, who receives a first-round bye

Oliynykova has attached an off-court cause to her run on this Asian swing, and her post-match remarks after a first-round win in Singapore were taken up well beyond the court. Within a match preview it reads as background on the person rather than a factor in her tennis, showing what she carries with her onto tour. The remarks followed a first-round victory and were not repeated after she lost in the next round. Nothing in the episode points to a change in her game, so it is reader context rather than a sporting indicator.
- Oliynykova addressed Oleshky in her post-match remarks after beating Vivian Wolff in the Singapore first round
- The appeal urged the audience to look up Oleshky, describing roughly 2,000 residents without power, gas, food or safe evacuation
- The appeal was carried beyond the court by Ukrainian official and humanitarian voices
