Context last updated 13 Sep 2026, 04:38 · Europe/Bucharest

Schoolkate is the better player on paper, but the odds on him to win are too short.

The value lies in the match going over 22.5 games and over 12.5 aces, with a good chance of a tiebreak.

Context

Schoolkate, ranked 180, has been more consistent on hard courts recently, with a 58.3% win rate in his last 12 matches on the surface.
Gengel's 50% hard-court record in his last 10 matches is weaker, and his overall last-15 record is just 46.7%. Schoolkate's superior recent form on this surface gives him an edge, though the sample sizes are small and both players have faced varying levels of opposition.
- Schoolkate last 15 on hard: 7-5 record (58.3%)
- Gengel last 15 on hard: 5-5 record (50%)
- Gengel overall last 15: 7-8 record (46.7%)
Schoolkate's serve is a key weapon, with a 74.1% first-serve points won in his last 15 matches overall.
On hard courts, Schoolkate's 73.9% first-serve points won and 8.3 aces per match outpace Gengel's 71.7% and 5.6 aces. This serve advantage could help Schoolkate hold more easily, though Gengel's return points won (39.6%) is slightly better than Schoolkate's (35.7%), which may keep the match competitive.
- Schoolkate hard-court aces per match: 8.3
- Gengel hard-court aces per match: 5.6
- Schoolkate hard-court first-serve points won: 73.9%
- Gengel hard-court first-serve points won: 71.7%
The two players met once before, on hard court in February 2025.
Schoolkate won that match 7-6(3), 7-6(4), showing he can handle Gengel's game in tight sets. However, that was over a year ago, and both players have evolved since, so the H2H is only a minor indicator.
- 2025-02-02: Schoolkate def. Gengel 7-6(3), 7-6(4) on hard court

Markets to Avoid

High-risk markets where price or context leaves too little cushion.

The price on Schoolkate is too short given his recent inconsistency and Gengel's competitive serve numbers.
