Luca Potenza is the clear favorite based on superior recent form, ranking, and return game, but Finn Bass's strong serve could keep sets close.

Context

Potenza, ranked 488, has been competing regularly on hard courts and recently reached the later rounds of a Challenger event.
Potenza's recent hard-court results include wins over opponents ranked inside the top 200, while Bass has struggled against similar-level opposition. Bass's only hard-court win in his last five came against a player ranked outside the top 700, so Potenza's form gives him a clear edge in this matchup.
- Potenza's last 15 hard-court record is 6-3, including wins over No. 195 Edas Butvilas and No. 171 Joel Schwaerzler.
- Bass's last 15 hard-court record is 2-4, with losses to No. 309 Stefan Dostanic and No. 365 Jake Delaney.
Bass, ranked 1532, relies on a strong first serve that has produced high ace counts across surfaces.
Bass's first-serve points won is 75.5%, but his return points won is just 33.7%, meaning he often struggles to create break chances. Potenza's return points won is 41%, so he is more likely to pressure Bass's serve and convert breaks.
- Bass's last 15 overall: 8.3 aces per match, 75.5% first-serve points won, 33.7% return points won.
- Potenza's last 15 overall: 41% return points won, 43.1% break points converted.
