Quick Take

Pre-match view

Context last updated 12 Sep 2026, 22:12 · Europe/Bucharest

Cook vs Heck is a near coin-flip with Cook holding a slight edge due to better break-point conversion.

Expect a tight match with potential for over 21.5 games, but confidence is low across all markets.

Context

Cook, an Australian right-hander, has a career win rate of 45% and prefers hard courts, while Heck, an American ranked 717, has a 53% career win rate and also plays primarily on hard courts.
Over their last 15 matches, Cook and Heck have identical 7-8 records on hard courts. Cook has a slightly higher first-serve points won percentage (69.1% vs 69.0%) and break point conversion rate (52.1% vs 43.8%), but Heck has a better return points won percentage (38.3% vs 34.4%). These small differences may not be decisive, and the match could hinge on who executes better on key points.
- Cook's last 15 hard-court record: 7-8 (50% win rate).
- Heck's last 15 hard-court record: 7-8 (46.7% win rate).
- Cook's first-serve points won: 69.1%; Heck's: 69.0%.
- Cook's return points won: 34.4%; Heck's: 38.3%.
Heck, ranked 717, has been competing in Challenger and ITF events, often facing players ranked inside the top 500.
In his last five losses, Heck lost to players ranked 340, 397, 467, 539, and 768. Cook's recent wins came against opponents ranked 720, 874, and unranked players. This suggests Heck's form may be better than his win-loss record indicates, while Cook's wins may have been against weaker opposition.
- Heck's last five losses: to No. 340 Mees Rottgering, No. 397 Andrew Fenty, No. 467 Kenta Miyoshi, No. 539 Kokoro Isomura, and No. 768 Taisei Ichikawa.
- Cook's recent wins: over No. 720 Manish Sureshkumar, No. 874 Yeongseok Jeong, and unranked Aditya Kothari.
Cook, who has played 13 matches in the last 15 tracked, has had a busy schedule with several tournaments in recent weeks.
In his most recent match on September 6, Cook's opponent Jesse Flores retired at 6-6 in the first set. This gave Cook a quick win and likely saved energy, but it also means he has not played a full competitive match since August 27, when he lost to Hyeon Chung. The lack of recent full-match play could affect his rhythm.
- Cook's last match: 6-6 ret. win over Jesse Flores on September 6.
- Cook's previous completed match: 6-4 6-2 loss to Hyeon Chung on August 27.
