Context

Fullana, 458th, has built her recent success on hard courts, winning 14 of 15 matches on the surface in 2026. You, ranked 206th, has struggled for consistency, with only 5 wins in her last 15 matches overall.
Fullana's hard-court record in the last 15 matches is 9-1 with a 64.4% games won rate, while You is 4-4 on hard courts with a 50.7% games won rate. Fullana's first-serve points won on hard courts is 72.1% compared to You's 60.2%, and Fullana saves 70% of break points versus You's 51.6%. This suggests Fullana should control the match on serve and be more resilient under pressure, though You's higher ranking and experience may keep the match competitive.
- Fullana's last 15 hard-court record: 9-1, with 64.4% games won.
- You's last 15 hard-court record: 4-4, with 50.7% games won.
- Fullana's first-serve points won on hard courts: 72.1% vs You's 60.2%.

Luiza Fullana, ranked No. 458, is the away player in this WTA Sao Paulo qualifier. She withdrew from an ITF event on 26 August with a back injury but accepted a wildcard into this tournament.
A back injury forced Fullana out of competition 17 days ago, and while she has entered this event, her recovery is not fully confirmed. Any lingering issue could reduce her serve power and court coverage, which are key to her hard-court success. Her recent 4-1 record suggests she is playing, but the short turnaround adds uncertainty.
- A back-injury withdrawal from Barueri was recorded on 26 August.
- Her SP Open qualifying wildcard was announced on 4 September and reconfirmed on 11 September.
- Stored recent sample: 4 wins from 5 tracked matches.

You, 206th, has been in a slump, winning only 5 of her last 15 matches across all surfaces. Her recent losses include defeats to Claire Liu (ranked 111), Qinwen Zheng (121), and Ekaterine Gorgodze (161).
You's overall record in the last 15 matches is 5-10, with a 45.3% games won rate. She has lost her last five matches, including a 7-5 6-0 defeat to Claire Liu in her most recent outing. This poor run of form, especially against lower-ranked opponents, suggests she may struggle to impose herself against Fullana, who is in much better form.

- You has lost her last 5 matches, including to Claire Liu (ranked 111) and Qinwen Zheng (121).
