Quick Take

Pre-match view

Context last updated 6 Sep 2026, 23:09 · Europe/Bucharest

Zidansek is the rightful favorite due to ranking and clay pedigree, but her recent clay form is mediocre, making the 1.29 match winner odds poor value.

The best bet is over 20.5 total games, as Zidansek's matches average 25 games and even a straight-set win could exceed the line. Avoid the -6.5 game handicap, as Zidansek's recent wins have been by narrow margins.

Context

Zidansek, ranked 146, is a clay-court specialist with 281 career wins on clay, but her recent hard-court results have been better than her clay results.
Her last 15 matches show a 75% win rate on hard courts (3-1) versus 50% on clay (5-5). The small hard-court sample includes wins over Andreescu and Samson, but this match is on clay, where her recent form is less convincing.
- Zidansek's last 15 stats by surface: Hard record 3-1 (75%), Clay record 5-5 (50%).
- Recent hard-court wins: vs Andreescu (rank 183) and Samson (rank 116).
- Career clay wins: 281, but recent clay form is only 50%.
Brockmann, ranked 337, has played exclusively on clay in her last 15 matches, with an 8-7 record.
Her wins include opponents ranked 411, 522, 849, and unranked, while her losses include players ranked 331, 464, and 582. This suggests she may struggle against a higher-ranked opponent like Zidansek, who is ranked 146.
- Brockmann's last 15 overall record: 8-7 (53.3%).
- Wins against opponents ranked 411, 522, 849, and unranked.
- Losses to opponents ranked 331, 464, and 582.
This match is played on clay at WTA 125 level in Montreux, so both players must adapt to the slower surface and higher bounce.
- The 2026 tournament listing identifies Montreux as a clay WTA 125 event running 7-13 September.
