Quick Take

Pre-match view

Context last updated 3 Sep 2026, 22:11 · Europe/Bucharest

La Serna is the rightful favorite with superior ranking and clay record, but Milev's recent form and resilience make the 1.29 odds unappealing.

The best betting angles are under 5.5 total aces and over 6.5 double faults, while the match winner market offers no value.

Context

La Serna, 23, is a left-hander from Argentina ranked 289 and has won 35 of 53 clay matches in 2026.
His 43.8% return points won and 51% break point conversion in the last 15 matches are clearly better than Milev's 41.8% and 44%. On clay, where breaks are common, that edge can create more chances. Milev's higher break point save rate (67.5% vs 56.2%) may offset some of that, but La Serna's return pressure is the more consistent weapon.
- La Serna: 43.8% return points won, 51% break points converted in last 15 matches.
- Milev: 41.8% return points won, 44% break points converted in last 15 matches.
- Milev saves 67.5% of break points vs La Serna's 56.2%.
Milev, 21, is a Bulgarian right-hander ranked 866 and has played 15 clay matches in the last two months.
His last five matches averaged over two hours and included a 7-6, 3-6, 6-4 win over Petr Nesterov. La Serna's recent matches were shorter, with two straight-set wins this week. Milev's extra court time could leave him slightly less fresh in a quarter-final, though he has had a day of rest.
- Milev's last five matches: 3 wins, 2 losses, average duration 116.8 minutes.
- La Serna's last five matches: 3 wins, 2 losses, average duration 101.3 minutes.
- Milev beat Petr Nesterov (rank 301) in three sets on September 1.
