Pre-match view

Context last updated 12 Aug 2026, 10:10 · Europe/Bucharest

Jack Draper's superior hard-court serve and return metrics make him the clear favorite over Martin Landaluce, but his ongoing arm injury adds uncertainty.

The best betting value lies in over 7.5 double faults, driven by Landaluce's extreme double-fault rate on hard courts, while Draper's short match-winner odds offer no edge.

Context

In his 4 August loss to Atmane, Draper's serve speed fell in the deciding set and he appeared physically distressed.
- Current reporting links the episode to his left-arm bone-bruising problem, which has been a recurring issue.
- He completed the match but the physical toll raises doubts about his durability in best-of-three hard-court tennis.
In his last two hard-court matches (vs Zheng and Mejia), Landaluce won only 38% of second-serve points and averaged 9.0 double faults per match.
- His overall hard-court record in the last 15 matches is 0-2, with a first-serve percentage of just 52.1%.
- These numbers are based on only two matches, but the pattern is stark and aligns with his career-long second-serve vulnerability.
In his last 15 hard-court matches, Draper has won 78.7% of first-serve points and 55.1% of second-serve points, compared to Landaluce's 70.9% and 38.0%.
- Draper owns wins over Djokovic and Cerundolo on hard courts in March 2026, showing he can compete at a high level.
- His 5-4 hard-court record in the last 15 includes competitive losses to Medvedev and Opelka, not just weak opponents.
