Quick Take

Pre-match view

Context last updated 27 Jul 2026, 17:00 · Europe/Bucharest

Zeynep Sonmez is a strong favorite over wildcard Cadence Brace based on a dominant H2H win and superior ranking, but the odds are too short for value.

The best betting angle is under 18.5 total games at 1.95, with an 8.7-point edge, as Brace's weak serve and Sonmez's return prowess should lead to a quick match. Avoid Sonmez 2-0 at 1.40 due to poor value and surface-switch uncertainty.

- Brace also averages 0.7 aces per match in her last 15, with 10 total aces.
- In the H2H, neither player recorded an ace (stats show null, but low ace counts are typical for both).

The read
While the averages suggest under 7.5, Brace's high double-fault rate and the potential for a longer match could push the total over, making this a low-confidence lean.
- Sonmez averages 1.9 double faults per match in her last 15, Brace averages 2.7.
- Combined, they average 4.6 double faults per match, but Brace's rate is higher on hard courts (2.1) and Sonmez's can spike under pressure.
- In the H2H, they combined for 4 double faults in a short match (14 games).
- Brace's second-serve points won is only 44% overall, indicating she may take more risks on second serve leading to double faults.
