Quick Take

Pre-match view

Context last updated 15 Jul 2026, 07:27 · Europe/Bucharest

Tirante's superior clay form and ranking give him the edge, but Basilashvili's competitiveness and Tirante's doubles workload make a blowout unlikely.

Back Basilashvili +3.5 games and over 21.5 total games, as the match is expected to be closer than the odds suggest.

Context

ATP order of play for July 15 lists Tirante in doubles with Ariel Behar.
- Tirante's singles match on July 14 was a straight-sets win, but the doubles adds additional physical load.
- No injury or retirement concerns are reported, but the quick turnaround may reduce his energy levels.
On June 30, Basilashvili retired at 6-1, 2-1 down to Brancaccio (ranked 230) on clay.
- He then played two grass matches and won his Bastad opener in straight sets, indicating possible recovery.
- No further injury news has surfaced, but the retirement is within the last 30 days and could signal lingering issues.
