Pre-match view

Context last updated 21 Jun 2026, 07:24 · Europe/Bucharest

Arthur Fery's grass-court form and home advantage give him a clear edge over clay-court specialist Roman Andres Burruchaga, who has no 2026 grass matches.

Fery's fast starts and strong serve should control the match, but Burruchaga's resilience points to a close game count, making Burruchaga +3.5 games and over 21.5 total games the best betting angles. Fery is likely to win, but his short odds offer little value.

Context

Fery beat Adrian Mannarino (rank 44) and Toby Samuel (rank 144) at Queen's before losing to Francisco Cerundolo in three sets.
- He is 5-2 on grass in 2026, with all five wins coming in straight sets.
- His last five matches include four first-set wins, showing he starts fast on grass.
Burruchaga has played 35 matches in 2026, all on clay and hard courts.
- His career grass wins came in 2024 and 2025 at Challenger level, with no top-100 wins on the surface.
- He has a 5.1% career double-fault rate and wins only 48% of second-serve points, which could be punished on grass.
Fery won the last two sets after losing the first, converting 33% of break points.
- Burruchaga hit 10 double faults in that match, and Fery's return pressure forced errors.
- The match was on hard court, but Fery's aggressive returning should translate well to grass.
