The read

Bublik's superior grass-court pedigree, elite serve, and freshness give him a clear edge over Bellucci, who is less proven at this level and may be fatigued from qualifying.

• Bublik is 2-1 on grass in 2026, with a win over Mpetshi Perricard and a tight loss to Fritz; Bellucci is 4-2 on grass in 2026 but all wins came in qualifying against lower-ranked opponents.
• Bublik has a career grass win percentage of 60.2% (50-33) and won Halle in 2023 and 2025; Bellucci has a 55.6% career grass win percentage (20-16) and is playing his first ATP 500 main draw on grass.
• Bublik's serve is a major weapon on grass: 13.9% ace rate, 75.9% first-serve points won; Bellucci's 8% ace rate and 72.4% first-serve points won are less dominant.
• Bellucci has played three matches in three days in qualifying, including a nearly three-hour battle, while Bublik is fresh and had only a light doubles outing.

The read

Bellucci's fighting form and Bublik's occasional lapses could lead to a competitive match with at least one tight set, pushing the total games over 22.5.

• Bellucci's recent matches have been tight: three of his last five went to three sets, and his qualifying win over Bolt had 34 games.
• Bublik's last grass match vs. Fritz had only 20 games, but his previous two (vs. Mpetshi Perricard and Struff) had 26 and 30 games respectively.
• Both players have break-point save rates around 61.5%, suggesting holds are not automatic, and tiebreaks are possible given Bublik's 54% career tiebreak win rate.

The read

Bublik's powerful serve and strong first-set record on grass make him the favorite to take the opener against a potentially fatigued Bellucci.

• Bublik has won 87% of matches when taking the first set in his career; Bellucci also has an 87% first-set win conversion, but Bublik's serve is more likely to dominate early on grass.
• In his last five matches, Bublik won the first set in three (vs. Mpetshi Perricard, Struff, Rinderknech); Bellucci lost the first set in two of his last five (vs. Fritz, Bolt).
• Bublik's first-serve points won (75.9%) and ace rate (13.9%) are significantly higher than Bellucci's (72.4%, 8%), giving him an edge in holding serve early.

The read

While Bellucci is resilient, Bublik's ability to dominate on serve and the physical toll on Bellucci make a straight-sets win for Bublik a plausible outcome.

• Bublik has won 4 of his last 6 completed matches in straight sets; Bellucci has lost 5 of his last 10 in straight sets.
• On grass in 2026, Bublik's two wins were in straight sets (vs. Mpetshi Perricard, Struff); Bellucci's four grass wins all went the distance.
• Bellucci's fatigue from qualifying and Bublik's superior serve could lead to a quicker match if Bublik starts strong.
