Pre-match view

Context last updated 14 Jun 2026, 19:12 · Europe/Bucharest

Elizara Yaneva holds a moderate edge over Georgia Pedone in their WTA Brescia opener, fueled by a stronger serve (62.3% first-serve win rate) and better recent form (4-1 in last five).

The best betting value lies in over 20.5 total games (13.7-point edge) and Yaneva 2-0 set betting (10.4-point edge), while the match-winner market overprices Yaneva at 1.40. Pedone's home-court advantage and clay pedigree keep her competitive, but Yaneva's front-running ability should prevail in straight sets.

Context

Yaneva's last five: wins over Aksu (277), Hennemann (276), Voloshchuk (356), Boehner (unranked), and a loss to Pigato (132).
- Pedone's last five: losses to Sherif (118) 6-2 6-0, Bronzetti (147) 6-2 6-4, Niemeier (499) 6-3 7-5, and wins over Sherif and Gorgodze.

- Yaneva's break-point conversion rate: 50.8%; Pedone's break-point save rate: 50.7%.
- Pedone's first-serve percentage is high (78.8%), but she wins only 53.9% of those points, indicating weak serve effectiveness.
Pedone is Italian and the tournament is in Brescia, Italy.
- The winner faces Fiona Ferro or Kajsa Rinaldo Persson, with second seed Darja Semenistaja also in the section.
- Home support could provide a boost, but Pedone's recent form and serve stats suggest an uphill battle.
