Quick Take

Pre-match view

Context last updated 7 Jun 2026, 23:00 · Europe/Bucharest

Henrique Rocha holds a narrow edge over Daniel Merida Aguilar in the Perugia final due to fresher legs and a 2-0 H2H record, but the 1.50 odds offer no value.

The best betting angles are over 21.5 total games (1.80, 4.4-point edge) and under 7.5 total aces (1.85, 10.9-point edge), capitalizing on both players' low ace rates and Merida's heavy workload.

The read
Rocha's H2H edge, slightly fresher legs after a less demanding week, and strong clay form give him a narrow advantage in the final.
- H2H: Rocha leads 2-0, including a 6-4 4-1 ret. win on clay in 2023 and a 6-1 7-5 win on hard in 2022.
- Surface: Rocha is 21-9 on clay in 2026 (70% win rate) vs. Merida's 17-7 (71%), but Rocha's recent clay form in Perugia is 4-0 this week with only one three-setter.
- Recent form: Rocha has won 4 straight matches in Perugia, including a dominant 6-4 6-2 semifinal; Merida needed three sets in his last two matches and has played 4 matches in 5 days after qualifying.
- Fitness/load: Merida is carrying a heavier workload (qualifying + main draw) with a three-set semifinal on 6 June; Rocha's path has been less taxing with only one three-setter.

The combination of Merida's recent three-set trend and the high stakes of a final makes over 2.5 sets more likely than a straight-set win.
- Merida has gone to three sets in 2 of his last 3 matches; Rocha in 1 of his last 4.
- Both players have deciding-set win rates above 55%, indicating they are competitive in tight matches.

- Merida dropped the first set in his last two matches (vs. Pellegrino and Kovacevic) and needed comebacks.
